To combat inequity in education and expose more students to the power of coding, Microsoft is providing weekly virtual workshops for students at William Hawley Atwell Law Academy and Sarah Zumwalt Middle School. The workshops cover topics from designing apps, creating games, and learning how to understand and use data.

Microsoft is looking to expand this program to more middle and high schools in next school years.  Zumwalt Middle School principal Bobby Nevels is excited to be part of the pilot program.

“Our students thoroughly enjoyed the courses each week,” Nevels said.  “It was time well spent and was very beneficial for our students.”
