NFL Play Football and New Era Cap Co. donated $10,000 to the Sunset High School football program!
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb surprised the football program with the news during a March 8 Zoom call. The donation is part of a larger effort between the NFL and New Era Cap to support the youth football community throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
“This will ultimately help elevate all of you next season,” Lamb told the Sunset football players. “I’m pulling for you guys and I’m excited for what this will do for your team.”
Sunset High School Football Coach O.J. Abanishe said the school would use the money to help improve the weight room.
“We appreciate what the NFL and New Era is doing here,” Abanishe said. “This past year has been tough with the pandemic, so this donation really means a lot.”
