A higher-than-projected enrollment this school year means Dallas ISD is looking to hire additional teachers to serve district students.

Dallas ISD originally projected serving 153,867 students this school year. As of Oct. 14, 154,190 students were enrolled in Dallas ISD.

The Dallas ISD Human Capital Management Department is hosting two upcoming job fairs for candidates interested in teaching in Dallas ISD.

A high-needs teacher job fair is scheduled at the Turney Leonard Governance and Training Center, 5151 Samuell Blvd., for Thursday, Oct. 24 to fill positions at 24 schools. Interested candidates can go here to register.

A larger fall teacher job fair is then happening at Conrad High School on Nov. 14 from 5–7 p.m. Candidates can go here to register.

The starting salary for a Dallas ISD teacher is $54,000.
