Inside Dallas ISD: Collegiate Academies

0

Through a partnership between Dallas ISD and the Dallas County Community College District, collegiate academies provide the opportunity for students to earn up to 60 hours of college credit or an associate degree while earning a high school diploma — at no cost to their families.

In addition to seven traditional Early College High Schools, Dallas ISD’s collegiate academy program now includes 18 Pathway to Technology Early College High Schools or P-TECHs, each of which has higher education and career industry partners.

Dallas ISD is opening two new collegiate academies in 2019–2020, which are also accepting applications through Jan. 31. Skyline Collegiate Academy will open on the Skyline High School campus in southeast Dallas, and North Lake Collegiate Academy will be housed on the south campus of North Lake College in Irving.

Now accepting applications: Dallas ISD to launch two new collegiate academies next August

Dallas ISD launched seven collegiate academies and a P-TECH at existing high schools this school year. The district expects to launch 10 additional collegiate academies in future years.
