While the Winter Olympics play on TVs across the world, one Sunset High School student is staying busy in the gym training for a shot in the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Stephen Acosta, a senior at Sunset, will compete in Poland in March for a chance to earn his spot on the USA Olympic team. He trained in January at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado.

“I try to be a great student, I don’t give anyone any problems. I stay humble and get through the day,” Acosta said. “I can’t believe I have this shot, I’m 18 years old and I’m the youngest one on the team.”
