A called board meeting to consider a special Tax Ratification Election for October has been postponed.
The Administration postponed the meeting after receiving an estimate of $2.2 million for a special October election. Instead, the Administration will present options for the Board to consider calling a Tax Ratification Election or Tax Swap on November 7, the Uniform Election date.
The cost of the November election is anticipated to be no more that $750,000. A called Board meeting and public hearing will be held on Monday, August 21 at 4 p.m. At that time Administration will present a proposed plan for a 13-cent TRE, a six-cent TRE, and 2-cent tax swap for the Board’s consideration.
