Students from Dallas ISD’s Sunset High School are training this week to be part of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).

The training will help them know how to respond in the event of natural disasters, fires or terrorist attacks.

Additional CERT classes will be offered this summer, and so far, more than 2,600 Dallas residents have been trained.
