Ready, set, read!

Join Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings and thousands of other reading warriors for the free Mayor’s Summer Reading Challenge June 3-Aug. 12. All ages – including kids and adults – can sign up now (and throughout the summer) at dallaslibrary.org/msrc or in person at any Dallas Library location. Young participants can earn incentive prizes – including books, coupons and passes to local attractions – for every 10 days they read at least 20 minutes.

Kids who read at least 50 days will be entered to win grand prizes such as breakfasts with Mayor Rawlings and Dr. Hinojosa; behind-the-scenes access at the Dallas Zoo; Dallas Cowboys tickets and more.

Remember that regular reading increases literacy, maintains academic skills and prevents summer-learning loss!

And don’t miss the fantastic STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) activities held weekly at all Dallas Library locations.

For details, please go to dallaslibrary.org/msrc.
