Students compete in innovative underwater robotics program

0

The United States Navy Recruiting Command City Outreach Program had their 2017 Dallas Area Regional SeaPerch Underwater Robotics Challenge at Alfred J. Loos Natatorium.

Competing with other school districts, Dallas ISD students built their own underwater Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV). Though this project, students learn engineering concepts, problem solving, teamwork, and technical applications.

Students build the ROV from a kit comprised of low-cost, easily accessible parts, following a curriculum that teaches basic engineering and science concepts with a marine engineering theme.
