Hundreds of families got a firsthand look at what the Dallas ISD schools in Southeast Dallas have to offer on Saturday, April 8.

The Discover Dallas ISD-Southeast Dallas event brought together representatives from the schools in the H. Grady Spruce, W.W. Samuell and Seagoville high school feeder patterns. The event took place at Spruce in Pleasant Grove.

In addition to having the chance to talk with campus staff, visitors saw live demonstrations and student performances.

The goal was to showcase the fantastic academic and extracurricular activities the schools in Southeast Dallas have to offer at its high-quality neighborhood schools, including magnets, dual-language schools, prekindergarten, single-gender campuses, collegiate academies and more.

The event was one of several planned to highlight schools in various parts of the city. From 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 22, all campuses in the Skyline High School feeder pattern will be open for tours.
