Public invited to meetings to learn, provide feedback on proposed 2017–2018 budget

Dallas ISD has scheduled 10 public meetings to provide information and receive feedback on the proposed 2017–2018 budget.

All budget sessions are from 6:30–7:30 p.m. At the sessions, both parents and community partners will engage in three different budget activities:

  • Show Me the Money, which educates participants on where money is being spent;
  • Budget Deficit Puzzle, which challenges participants to reduce funds;
  • Fantasy Wish List, which challenges participants to allocate money.

Here is the schedule for the budget town hall meetings:

Jan. 31

Arthur Kramer Elementary School, 7131 Midbury Drive

Seagoville Middle School, 950 N Woody Road

Feb. 1

Clinton P. Russell Elementary School, 3031 S Beckley Ave.

Feb. 2

Raul Quintanilla Sr. Middle School, 2700 Remond Drive

Billy Earl Dade Middle School, 2727 Al Lipscomb Way

Feb. 7

Skyline High School, 7777 Forney Road

Feb. 9

Carter High School, 1819 W. Wheatland Road
