A group of volunteers helped improve the Bayles Elementary School Garden on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and KERA News has the full story.

The Americorps volunteers expanded the garden and replanted some cool weather vegetables such as beets, carrots, cabbage and some cilantro.

Parents of students at Bayles Elementary get cooking classes, volunteer in the garden, and enjoy produce from the garden.
