By The Hub on October 31, 2016 News Briefs

On Friday, Oct. 28, students and staff at Ebby Halliday Elementary School joined with business and community volunteers to celebrate literacy at a special reading event in partnership with the Ebby Halliday Corporation.

Volunteers from the Dallas Police Department, Dallas Public Library, a zoologist and Dallas ISD staff – along with fifth-graders – read books to classes. Students and staff dressed as their favorite storybook characters and in the afternoon, the day culminated with a parade to show off their creative costumes.
