Congressman Marc Veasey participated in Principal For a Day this year, and he got an inside look into Arcadia Park Elementary School.
Veasey talked with students, met staff members and teachers, and spent time seeing what happens inside the classroom.
“I think that all members of congress should take the time to come out to their schools, find out exactly what is going on in them, because it’s the future of our country, literally,” Veasey said. “To all the students and teachers in Dallas ISD, thank you for everything you do. Please keep working hard.”
Principal For a Day provides community and business leaders with a behind-the-scenes look at the local education system. Dallas Regional Chamber and Capital One help sponsor the annual event that this year sees more than 200 volunteers leading schools across the district.
