Former Dallas Cowboys players led students at Thelma Elizabeth Page Richardson Elementary School in a variety of physical activities and drills as a way to promote health and wellness.
Charles Haley, Dixon Edwards, Tony Casillas and Rowdy, the Cowboys mascot, got the students active and smiling during their visit. The event was a part of National Football League’s Play 60 initiative that tackles childhood obesity and inspires kids to play well and eat better.
The former Cowboys players visited Richardson Elementary because the school completed all of the components of the Play 60 program over the last year.
