Mayor’s Back to School Fair

A press conference provided details on the 20th annual Mayor’s Back to School Fair, which is Aug. 5 at Fair Park.

Mock trial class offered at Madison

Thanks to a partnership with Thompson and Knight LLP, the mock trial team at Madison High School will become a mock trial class next school year.

Collegiate academy boot camp

Nearly 800 students from Dallas ISD’s seven new collegiate academies and Pathways to Technology Early College High School (P-TECH) got first-hand college experience at a two-week summer boot camp.

Support for hometown hoops

Carter High School’s girls basketball team showed up to support the Dallas Wings, the city’s WNBA team.

Junior Achievement celebration

The 2016 Junior Achievement annual celebration recognized the great work that happened with Dallas ISD this school year. Junior Achievement provided more than 2,000 volunteers who offered financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship programs to 59 schools last year. (Read this)
