More than 1,000 teacher candidates came to Conrad High School this past Saturday to meet with elementary, middle and high school principals in the hopes of joining Dallas ISD.

Taylon Owens from Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy greeted elementary candidates in the morning. Conrad High School’s own robotics team, the #3005 Robochargers, spoke to elementary and secondary candidates about their experience at the Robotics World Championships just a few weeks ago where they placed second in their division. A few afternoon teacher prospects even got the chance to try and catch a ball tossed by the team’s practice robot.
