The students at D.A. Hulcy STEAM Middle School have been giving back to the community all year.
One focus of the school is Character Development and making a difference in the lives of others. This past months, the students donated Stuffed Character Pillows, made during art class, to the children at Genesis Women’s Shelter.
The Children’s Program Director for Genesis Women’s Shelter, Delana Baker, LMSW, spoke with the students on Tuesday, April 12 during morning huddle. She talked with the students about the shelter, its purpose and how their donations will be used to decorate and make the children who enter the shelter feel more comfortable in a new environment.
The students at D.A. Hulcy STEAM Middle School truly understand the power of giving back to the community and are destined to be productive citizens now and in the future!
