At a news conference earlier this week, Dallas ISD announced the expansion of the Early College High School model, and it was nothing short of amazing with great media coverage!

In the fall, eight collegiate academies will be offered throughout the district. Each will be housed at comprehensive high schools and are considered, “schools within schools”.  During the press event at Eastfield College, WFAA-TV (Ch. 8), KTVT-TV (Ch. 11) and KDFW-TV (Ch. 4) all caught up with seniors from Samuell High School0. These students are among the first to graduate from the school within a school concept, and will graduate with an associate’s degree on May 7.
