In the first 48 hours, approximately 2,200 students were enrolled online in a Dallas ISD school.
Entaune Tyson, a Dallas ISD project manager, said the district is happy with the strong initial interest in online enrollment.
“We weren’t sure how many people would enroll online since this is the first year it has been available at most of our schools,” he said. “We have been very pleased with the response.”
By utilizing online enrollment, parents don’t have to wait in lines to fill out paper forms at the campus to enroll their child. Online enrollment is not mandatory. Parents can still enroll their child using the traditional paper forms.
Parents with a child who attends a Dallas ISD magnet school, school of choice, or other special enrollment school must still enroll their child in person at their campus. Click here to see the list of campuses not included in online enrollment.
Dallas ISD has a hotline number and email—972-925-5860 and enrollmentsupport@dallasisd.org — for anyone who has issues or questions with online enrollment. The first day of school is Aug. 24.
