Motorists urged to observe speed zones during summer learning sessions

By The Hub on June 17, 2015 News Briefs

Summer learning sessions have begun, and the Dallas Independent School District urges motorists traveling near schools to help keep students safe by observing speed zones and using caution.

Some campuses in Dallas ISD are currently hosting tutoring sessions and other student-centered activities, while others are beginning their summer school sessions. In addition, a large number of Dallas ISD campuses are participating in the annual summer meal effort. This means traffic near active campuses could include students.

Drivers are encouraged to observe speed zones when flashing light signals are active, and to be aware of students walking near schools.
