Lincoln High’s culinary arts space to be bigger, better

By The Hub on June 1, 2015 News Briefs

By next fall, the culinary arts classroom at Lincoln High School will be transformed to include a professional kitchen, classroom/restaurant, private dining room and more as part of a $2.25 million, 5,400-square-foot renovation and expansion of the learning environment.

The Entrepreneurial Culinary Arts Program will offer training that will prepare students for employment in the food services industry or serve as a springboard for college studies in that career path. The program is organized into four federally-identified career pathways: restaurant and food service/beverages; lodging; travel and tourism; and recreation, amusements and attractions.

Construction started in January and is expected to be complete at the end of July, ready for the start of the 2015-2016 school year.
