Free meals to be available for Dallas children this summer

0
By The Hub on May 26, 2015 News Briefs

During the summer, free meals will be available at Dallas ISD schools and at parks, recreation centers, churches and other activity sites throughout the city to all children 18 and younger. The Summer Food Service Program was created to ensure that children in low-income areas could continue to receive nutritious meals during long school vacations when they do not have the benefit of school breakfasts and lunches.

The program is slated to operate Monday-Friday, June 9-Aug. 22 (no meals provided on July 3). For information, or to find a site near you, visit this website.
