Skyline perfect approaching state semi’s; SOC playoff run ends

South Oak Cliff’s scoring power met substantial resistance against preseason-first-ranked Ennis this weekend in a 31-14 loss in the Class 5A Division II Region II final at Mansfield ISD’s Vernon Newsome Stadium.

Skyline, however, had a different result in its Class 6A Division I Region II matchup at the Waco ISD Stadium, posting a 38-20 victory over Klein Oak. The win advances Skyline to the state semifinal, a milestone they last reached in 2011.

Skyline (14-0) will play Allen (14-0) at 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec 13, at SMU’s Ford Stadium.

Tickets are available for purchase at Skyline High School at $6 per student and $8 per adult through Friday, Dec 12. Tickets are $10 per person on game day, Sat. Dec 13, at SMU’s Ford Stadium and parking is $10 per vehicle. Kickoff is scheduled at 6 p.m.

ABOUT THE GAME

Fans are asked not to park on residential streets. Instead,they should use designated parking facilities offered by SMU. Vehicles that are parked in unrestricted areas may risk receiving a parking citation or will be towed, as this will be actively enforced.
