Former Woodrow Wilson High School football player (Class of ’84) and Heisman Trophy winner (’87) Tim Brown was elected to the NFL Hall of Fame over the weekend. Brown also made history once again, as the first Dallas ISD to be elected to elite club. The announcement sparked conversations among many of his fans, including some of his No. 1 fans – his family. The Future Facilities Task Force will discuss the next step in planning for the coming needs of Dallas ISD during its meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, at the district administrative building, 3700 Ross Ave., Dallas, TX. The task force will receive a report from Jim Terry, Dallas ISD chief financial officer, about potential financing options to meet current and future needs based on the district’s growing enrollment and program changes. The task force will also receive an overview on attendance zones and potential approaches to relieving overcrowding.

Woodrow Wilson High School alumnus and 1987 Heisman winner Tim Brown was named to the 2015 class of the National Football League’s Pro Football Hall of Fame. The announcement was made at the Fourth Annual NFL Honors held in Phoenix, Ariz., as part of the festivities for Super Bowl XLIX. Brown played for the Raiders from 1988-2003. He was selected by the Raiders in the first round (sixth overall) of the 1988 NFL Draft.
