The Dallas Morning News editorial board had high praise for Irma De La Guardia, a third-grade dual-language teacher at Harry C. Withers Elementary School who was named the 2015 Teacher of the Year by the National Association for Bilingual Education. As students returned to school Feb. 25 after two snow days, we filmed aerial footage of North Dallas High School. North Dallas High School, 3120 N. Haskell Ave., was built in 1922 and is one of the oldest standing high school buildings in Dallas.
For four years, the Cornerstone Baptist Church has hosted the African-American Read-In, which promotes advanced literacy to children. The Dallas Morning News covered the Read-In that happened this past weekend.
