The African American Success Initiative (AASI) will highlight Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) through the “HBCU Experience” on Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 5:45–6:45 p.m. The event is being held at the S.T.E.A.M. Middle School at D.A. Hulcy, 9339 S Polk St. The AASI initiative is aligned with the Destination 2020 key action of educating students to become “college-ready” or “career-ready” by the time of graduation.
