More than 100 students at Bryan Adams High School Leadership Academy recently spent part of their day donating blood to the American Red Cross. All together, Bryan Adams donated 89 pints of blood! Watch the above video to see some of the reasons students decided to donate.

Among the 81 million people who watched the first debate between U.S. presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump were Jo Rodhe’s debate students at Dallas ISD’s North Dallas High School. Theirs was a homework assignment, and they discussed what they saw the next day in class as they prepare for their first debate tournament of the year on Saturday. Parents, students and community members are invited to join the STEM Environmental Education Center to learn more about the programs and resources available for students and teachers at the center. The open house is Thursday, Oct. 6 from 5:30–9:30 p.m. The center is located at 1600 Bowers Road in Seagoville. The center’s mission is to help diverse learners develop an awareness, appreciation, and concern for the environment, and as citizens use 21st century knowledge and skills to make informed, responsible decisions, solve current environmental problems, and prevent new ones.
