Elementary students from all across the Dallas Independent School District converged at Adamson High to compete in the Fall UIL A+ Academic Competition on Saturday, Dec. 3. With 95 schools in attendance, more than 1,700 students in third-, fourth- and fifth-grades competed in nine UIL academic competitions: Ready Writing; Maps, Graphs & Charts; Dictionary Skills, Number Sense; Storytelling; Spelling; Chess; Social Studies; and Listening. Update: The Dallas ISD Homeless Education program released the following statement in appreciation of those who donated: ” The Dallas ISD Homeless Education Program would like to thank everyone who donated to our program and those who helped coordinate the receipt of the donations. We received numerous items that included blankets, sleeping bags, pillows, socks, coats, uniforms, school supplies, and much more.
