Elementary students from all across the Dallas Independent School District converged at Adamson High to compete in the Fall UIL A+ Academic Competition on Saturday, Dec. 3. With 95 schools in attendance, more than 1,700 students in third-, fourth- and fifth-grades competed in nine UIL academic competitions: Ready Writing; Maps, Graphs & Charts; Dictionary Skills, Number Sense; Storytelling; Spelling; Chess; Social Studies; and Listening. Congratulations to Dallas ISD Police Department Sergeants Tammy Jamerson and Lawrence Strange for graduating from the University of North Texas Caruth Police Institute today. Assistant Police Chief Jason Rodriguez and the Leadership Dallas Class of 2017 made a video from Dallas City Hall congratulating their accomplishment. The CPI is a four-week leadership development program for Dallas ISD Police and Dallas Police supervisors, providing extensive training for new law enforcement leaders.
