The National School Boards Association’s (NSBA) Technology Leadership Network (TLN) has named Roland Antoine, Deputy Chief Technology Officer for Dallas ISD, as one of its “20 to Watch” honorees for 2016-2017. The W. H. Adamson High School Alumni Association will hold its 17th annual All-Class Reunion at the school on Saturday, April 29, from 10 a.m.–3 p.m. Located at 309 E. Ninth in the Oak Cliff, Adamson High School is the oldest continuously-active high school in Dallas ISD. On Friday, April 28, the Adamson Alumni 2017 Charity Golf Classic is scheduled at the Golf Club of Dallas, 2201 W. Red Bird Lane. National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week is April 9-15, and it’s an opportunity to celebrate those employees who help keep Dallas ISD safe! The Dallas ISD Police Department has 10 authorized police telecommunicators and one communications manager. These telecommunicators provide 24/7/365 coverage. They are responsible for answering all emergency and non-emergency calls from the Dallas ISD campuses, monitor intrusion and fire alarms, provide dispatch functions for all police personnel, as well as after-hours maintenance. They are licensed by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. “These employees do an incredible job and deserve our recognition and praise,” Dallas ISD Police Sergeant Keith Clicque said.
