(Updated July 31): In preparation for the move, Student Record Services will close at 1 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 2 and will reopen 8 a.m., Monday, Aug. 6 at their new location. Texas state law requires students to be fully vaccinated against specified diseases by the first day of school, which in Dallas ISD is Monday, Aug. 20. That means now is the perfect time to avoid the long lines of the back-to-school rush at clinics and medical facilities across the city. Students enrolling in Dallas ISD for the first time must provide proof of the required immunizations in the form of official records from a physician or health clinic. During the final board meeting of the 2017-2018 school year, Dallas ISD trustees approved a measure to rename its new headquarters located at 9400 North Central Expressway to the Linus D. Wright Dallas ISD Administration Building.
