Submitted by Dallas ISD Athletics department Nominations are now being accepted for the next class of the Dallas ISD Athletic Hall of Fame. Since its creation in 2017, the Hall of Fame has welcomed 51 individuals into its membership. The Hall of Fame recognizes and honors individuals who have made significant contributions to the district’s storied high school athletic programs.  Individuals may be nominated in one of three categories: past Dallas ISD  student-athlete, former Dallas ISD coach, and contributors. Dallas ISD is taking proactive measures in building its 2024-2025 budget allotment, prioritizing people and student support in decision-making despite no additional state funding. Currently, the district receives a basic allotment of $5,800 per student from the state. Dallas ISD offers various options for families like free tuition, scholarships, and tuition-based options. Submitted by the Social Studies department The 2023-2024 State Mock Trial Competition unfolded over spring break, as Judge Barefoot Sanders Law Magnet, Woodrow Wilson High School, and Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA) engaged in fierce legal battles against schools from across Texas. All three schools advanced to the second day of competition.
