Dallas ISD employees who refer external candidates for full-time bus driver positions can earn additional $200


The Transportation Referral Incentive Supplemental earning is designed to compensate Dallas ISD employees that refer external candidates to the Transportation Department for full-time driver positions. Eligibility for the incentive requires the candidate to notify Human Capital Management at the time of hire of any referral via the official referral form, and prior to their official start date as part of their on-boarding process. The newly hired driver must reach 45 drive days based on the 185-work day calendar for the driver referrer to qualify for the payment. The supplemental earning amount is $200.

Early Lessons from National Study on Social and Emotional Learning Released


Dallas ISD, Big Thought, Dallas Afterschool and Dallas Park and Recreation share early lessons from a six-year national study they are participating in called the Partnerships for Social and Emotional Learning Initiative (PSELI). Dallas was selected to be one of six communities to be part of the initiative via a competitive nationwide review process. PSELI was launched in 2016 to gain knowledge about how to help children develop SEL skills. Fifty-one student-athletes join the inaugural class of the Dallas ISD Athletics Leaders in Training Program


The Dallas ISD Athletics Department is excited to announce the inaugural class of the Dallas ISD Athletics Leaders in Training (L.I.T.) Program! High school athletics coordinators nominated student-athletes, and the students had to complete an application to be selected for the program. The purpose of this program is to prepare student-athletes for leadership while building character. The program will motivate and empower students to be leaders on their campuses and in the communities. The L.I.T. program will encompass an evolving series of activities. Dallas ISD providing transportation to students taking the ACT on Tuesday, Oct. 20


Dallas ISD is providing transportation to students taking the ACT on Tuesday, October 20th. Students taking the ACT have already been notified by their campus. Students taking the bus for the ACT will be picked up in the morning at their normal time. Students at most high schools will have bus pickup at the regular afternoon dismissal time.
