At the end of January, 20 schools competed in the Region XII Academic Decathlon. Of those participating campuses, School of Science and Engineering and School for the Talented & Gifted received the highest team points in their respective divisions: medium and small. Four teams advanced to the Academic Decathlon State Meet in their respective conferences. Advancing schools are the School of Science & Engineering, School for the Talented & Gifted, Dr. Wright L.
