The Texas Education Foundation Network (TEFN) recently presented the Dallas Education Foundation with its Outstanding Achievement Award for the foundation’s 2021 Heart of Teaching Campaign. TEFN is a program of the Texas Pioneer Foundation. Math and science are as competitive as any sport event throughout the district. Just ask any of the hundreds of Dallas ISD secondary students who put their skills in math and science to the test at the Texas Math and Science Coaches Association (TMSCA) state competitions recently held in San Antonio. The TMSCA State High School competition took place on March 19, and Dallas ISD students from Science and Engineering Magnet received awards in all four categories: Number Sense, Calculator, Math, and Science.
