Third-graders at Charles A. Gill Elementary School have created, marketed, and sold their own board game to benefit the school’s Parent Teacher Association. Dan D. Rogers Elementary Principal Lisa Lovato, a Dallas ISD Principal of the Year, started her career in education as an ESL teacher. About 100 Dallas ISD student-athletes who are committing to study and play sports at colleges and universities after they graduate were honored at the district’s annual National Signing Day celebration on Wednesday, Feb. 1. The event puts the students, along with family members and their coaches, on the red carpet to encourage them in their decision to further their education after high school.
