Bryan Adams High School freshman Kaveion Morris was walking from his home to the bus stop when he heard a toddler crying near the pool of an apartment complex. When he got a closer look, he saw the crying toddler was pointing to a young girl drowning in the pool. TDIndustries hosted a party for Jack Lowe Sr. Elementary School staff to celebrate their National Blue Ribbon recognition. Dan Micciche, who represents District 3 on the Dallas ISD Board of Trustees, recognized the school’s achievements. He highlighted that the Texas Education Agency rated Lowe Elementary as an Improvement Required campus five years ago. After a tornado impacted the Northwest Dallas community, a Dallas ISD teacher went door-to-door to local businesses seeking a helping hand. Jose Armendariz works as a bilingual kindergarten teacher at Pershing Elementary. His persistence resulted in a school supply donation worth more than $30,000. Pershing was among three schools that sustained damage and were temporarily relocated to Loos Field House.
