District student achievement noted with distinguished academic recognition awards
0Students from several Dallas Independent School District schools have recently been named among some of the most prestigious scholars in the country. The honors include National Merit, National Achievement and Texas AP State Scholar acknowledgements. National Merit Scholar Program Students are recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Program after taking the previous year’s Preliminary National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, which serves as an initial screen of program applicants. New Facebook page “en Español” to increase community outreach

That is why Dallas ISD is leading the way among Texas school districts in expanding its outreach to the Spanish-speaking community through social media by launching Facebook/DallasISD_español, its new Spanish Facebook page. Dallas ISD takes action on alleged steroid use within Police Department
0The Dallas Independent School District has accepted the resignation of a Dallas ISD Police officer and a Dallas ISD Security officer following an internal investigation into alleged illegal steroid use. Two more Dallas ISD Police officers are being recommended for termination and another is being recommended to receive a 3-day suspension. The investigation found that a Dallas ISD officer sold what was alleged to be an illegal steroid to another officer who, along with several other officers, failed to report this information to supervisors.
