But their message to young students today was no laughing matter. “Play safe and play smart.” BrainMinders is a puppet program for children put on by the Pilot Club of Dallas. District unveils new athletic website
0The Dallas Independent School District Department of Athletics has opened a new web portal to the community – www.dallasisd.org/athletics. Visit the website to meet the newly appointed athletics administrative staff, watch video messages from Athletic Director Gil Garza and access news stories, schedules and scores. The Dallas ISD Athletics Department is focused on establishing a means by which athletes, coaches and the Dallas community can seek out information and recent news involving Dallas ISD sports. Dallas ISD outpaces other urban school districts on AP exams
0Recent Advanced Placement (AP) exam results indicate Dallas ISD is outperforming other large urban districts according the National Math and Science Initiative. A minority student in Dallas ISD is more than twice as likely to earn a qualifying score of three or higher on an AP exam as in any other large urban school district in the country. AP exams are an end of year assessment in core areas that allow students to earn college credit and passing the exams is an indicator of college readiness.
