Dallas ISD students represent nations at 2025 Model United Nations

Sixth-grade students across Dallas ISD recently participated in the district’s annual Model United Nations, a co-curricular experience that builds on classroom lessons in world cultures and social studies.

In alignment with this year’s theme, each school also researched and presented its nation’s perspective on cooperatives. To help students connect the event’s overall theme to their local community, the event featured REI Co-op, a Dallas-based business, to help students understand how local cooperatives work and their impact on the community.

This event was an engaging and impactful learning experience that encouraged students to think critically, participate in civic dialogue, and make meaningful global connections.
