Dallas ISD students run away with 28 medals at State Track and Field Championships

Dallas ISD competed in the 2017 UIL State Track and Field Championships and ran away with 28 medals.

The Carter High School Girls Track and Field team is the 2017 4A State Champions, and the school’s Boys Track and Field team is the 2017 4A State Runner-Up.

The district overall had 34 student-athletes compete in 20 events.

Sha’Carri Richardson of Carter High School set the record last year for the 100-meter dash, and then broke that record this year.
