In observance of “Be a Hero, Anti-bullying Week,” Seagoville Middle School will host an anti-bullying program during which 100 men will gather in support of their efforts. These men will share personal experiences with students in a small group setting while spreading the message of respect. The 2014 Men in Black “Day of Empowerment and March against Bullying” will be 9 a.m-11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, located at 950 Woody Road, Dallas, TX 75253. It’s not often that we share Letters to the Editor written to the Dallas Morning News. However,  two letters were penned by a couple of community members who both shared sentiments of the “good things” going on at Bryan Adams High School. Skyline 41, Lake Highlands 14 Skyline broke into Class 6A-Division I-Region II playoff action with a 41-14 victory over Lake Highlands on Friday night at Forester Field. Skyline’s Kylan Johnson, Daleon Ward and Carlos Strickland played key roles in the Raiders’ win, according to a Dallas Morning News recap of the game. At first glance, you simply see teachers in pairs, clutching a plastic garbage bag between them as they run, letting the wind push against the bag. The faster they run, the greater the force of the wind. A bit odd perhaps, until you realize they are conducting an experiment in wind resistance and velocity. Robert E. Lee Elementary School opened its doors to the community during a special open house the morning of Nov. 11. The event was an effort led by Council members Phillip Kingston and Adam Medrano to re-introduce Robert E. Lee Elementary School to the community it proudly serves.
