Marketing Services is responsible for communicating internally to more than 20,000 Dallas ISD employees and externally with the greater Dallas community through publications, marketing and advertising, e-newsletters, social media and photography.

The Dallas ISD Coordinated School Health (CSH) Initiative is committed to encouraging students to adopt healthy life habits based on 10 components outlined by the Centers for Disease Control. The CATCH (Coordinated Approach to School Health) Program, designed for grades K-8, serves as the foundation for the district’s initiative, and promotes physical activity and healthy food choices. An important component of CATCH is the promotion of values that challenge to become an MVP: M= move and stay active, V= value healthy eating, and P= practice healthy habits. When Sylvia Lopez, director of Dallas ISD Counseling Services, recently received a letter from the Texas Counseling Association announcing that she was the recipient of the TCA Distinguished Service Award, she was pleasantly surprised. She had no idea she had even been nominated. The Special Education Department will host its annual special education parent conference from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 15, at the Pegasus Building located at 912 South Ervay St. Parents and guardians of students receiving special education services will receive support and information on topics of interest related to navigating educational opportunities and resources for students receiving special education services.
