Para poder ser elegibles, los maestros deben cumplir con ciertos requisitos y serán sometidos a una revisión de su liderazgo, experiencia de aprendizaje, contribuciones a su profesión y a la calidadad de instrucción. This week, approximately 1,400 Dallas ISD teachers will be invited to submit an application and undergo the Distinguished Teacher Review process. In order to be eligible, teachers must meet certain requirements and undergo a review of their leadership, lifelong learning, contributions to the profession and quality of instruction. Applications are due Jan. 22, 2015. Between January and May, applications will be reviewed and two- to three-person teams will conduct a 45-minute observation to assess the candidate’s quality of instruction. South Oak Cliff’s scoring power met substantial resistance against preseason-first-ranked Ennis this weekend in a 31-14 loss in the Class 5A Division II Region II final at Mansfield ISD’s Vernon Newsome Stadium. Skyline, however, had a different result in its Class 6A Division I Region II matchup at the Waco ISD Stadium, posting a 38-20 victory over Klein Oak. El Distrito Escolar Independiente de Dallas está en pláticas finales con Region 10 Education Service Center para permitir que dicho centro opere el programa de educación para adultos, a partir del 1º de enero. Los estudiantes inscritos en este programa continuarán recibiendo los servicios educativos hasta el 30 de junio del 2015. The Dallas Independent School District is casting its net in search of talented and effective teachers. A team from Dallas ISD’s Human Capital Management department in traveling to Puerto Rico in search of talent, including candidates with bilingual background. Interviews will be held from Dec. 4-7 at the Embassy Suites Hotel & Casino in Isla Verde.
