Students planning to attend college for the 2025–2026 academic year must submit their FAFSA/TASFA applications by the priority deadline on Saturday, Feb. 15.
These applications help colleges determine financial aid eligibility and are required for some scholarship opportunities.
Following Texas Education Agency graduation requirements, all seniors must complete a FAFSA/TASFA application or sign an opt-out form to graduate.
Ivan Reyes, a college advisor with the Academic Success Program at Skyline High School, emphasized the importance of submitting applications promptly.
“It is important that students reach out to their college advisors for help navigating their applications,” he said.
Dallas ISD high schools provide college access advisors to assist students with completing their applications and answering other college-related questions. Students are encouraged to take advantage of this support.
