Dallas ISD partnerships help supply students and communities

Dallas ISD’s Partnerships and Volunteer Services team has been working vigorously to secure donations and ensure that the district’s partners help uplift our students and community.

“Dallas ISD is fortunate to have the support of a wide variety of agencies, individuals, businesses – public and private, higher education organizations, faith-based groups, and others,” said volunteer coordinator Tonya Mayberry Davis. “The support helps to impact student achievement and provide much-needed resources for our campuses.”

These partnerships provide students with much-needed materials to make it through the school year, helping to take some of the load off parents.

DFW YES is one such organization that recently stepped up, helping Clinton P. Russell Elementary School by donating packages of school supplies that included pens, pencils, notebooks, art materials and more for every student.

“I am so honored to have been selected by DFW YES. Our scholars need supplies, and our parents are doing their best with getting them, but we are all so grateful and thankful for the donations,” said Principal Gerald Bennett.

School supplies, clear backpacks, transportation funds, jackets, gift cards, uniforms, volunteers and student/teacher incentives are needed year-round.  If you or your company are interested in supporting school needs, please contact partners@dallasisd.org.

Thank you to all the partners and companies that have partnered and donated with us, including:

  • DFW YES
  • Gapco Pizza Company
  • Academy Sports + Outdoors
  • Office Depot
  • Dallas Mavericks
  • Kroger
  • Clay Cooley
  • United to Learn
