Dallas ISD’s Visual & Performing Arts Department is proud to announce that Dallas ISD has been awarded the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Best Communities for Music Education Award for the second year in a row.

The NAMM Foundation’s Best Communities for Music Education Award is a signature program of the NAMM Foundation that recognizes and celebrates school districts for their support and commitment to music education and efforts to assure access to music for all students as part of a well-rounded education.

This year, NAMM asked all submitting districts to share their stories and experiences of how instruction evolved due to COVID-19.

Of the 686 school districts across the country to receive this designation, Dallas ISD joins only a handful of large urban districts receiving the award.

“Dallas ISD is proud to offer the highest quality music education programs to every student across the District and would like to take this opportunity to thank our students, teachers, community partners, administrators, and trustees for the support that makes this award possible,” shared Jenny Fridge, Director of Operations of Visual & Performing Arts.
