High School Seniors: take the Promise Pledge before March 31

0

Dallas County Promise (DCP), a last-dollar tuition scholarship available to most Dallas ISD graduating seniors, has several important upcoming deadlines.

All graduating seniors from 57 participating high schools located within Dallas County – including 31 Dallas ISD high schools – are eligible to enroll in this program.

The DCP scholarship will help students cover the cost of tuition at Dallas College campuses and DCP partner universities. After students spend all their need-based financial aid and scholarships to pay for classes, this last-dollar tuition scholarship program will pay for the remaining fees.

Do not miss the March 31 deadline

The first step to become eligible for the DCP program is to complete the Promise Pledge by March 31. Students who do not meet the March 31 Pledge deadline will not be eligible to participate in the Promise program.

March 31 is also a vital date for all graduating seniors who plan to attend any of the following institutions: Dallas College, Texas A&M Commerce, Texas A&M Texarkana, Texas Woman’s University and UNT Dallas.

In addition to submitting the Promise Pledge, students must follow these steps for their institution of choice before the March 31 deadline:

– complete an admission application and be admitted

– turn in a completed FAFSA or TASFA form listing the school

Students must adhere to all DCP deadlines. For more details on program specifics visit DallasCountyPromise.org.
