Dallas ISD graduating seniors can apply now for $2,500 and $10,000 scholarships funded in honor of Superintendent Michael Hinojosa.

The $2,500 annual Superintendent’s Scholarships, funded through the annual Superintendent’s Scholarship Golf Tournament, will be awarded to at least two recipients from every comprehensive high school. The district will award one $10,000 Green-Garner scholarship, funded by the Council of Great City Schools. To be considered for either scholarship, students must complete the application, show acceptance to a college or university, and submit transcripts, letters of recommendation and essays. Both scholarships are listed with many others under the Scholarships 2021 tab on the Counseling Services webpage at www.dallasisd.org/counselingservices.

Applicants for the Superintendent’s scholarship should download and complete the application and submit all required info to suptscholarship@dallasisd.org by Friday, March 5. Each high school’s scholarship committee will review and score application and recommend the top 3 applications to a district scholarship committee, which will select the recipients.

Students interested in the Green-Garner Scholarship should download and complete the application and submit all required information to their school counselor by Friday, March 5. Campus counselors will review applications and recommend their top recipients to a district committee of representatives who will select the recipient based on GPA, quality of essays and letters of recommendation.

All recipients of both scholarships will be notified in April.
